Suzaku

Plot Summary: When the MC encounters Suzaku she is enraged by how he looks down at her. So when the chance comes for her to one up him by completing a mission he is having trouble with, the MC takes it with the intention of making Suzaku become her partner (or her servant)

What I think of him: Suzaku is the Sacred Beast of Fire and has a fiery temper to match. In the Prologue, Suzaku was the most vocally opposed to the MC being in the realm of the kami. He’s a proud warrior who commands soldiers to catch spirits and youkai. He’s not above sneaking out to have fun, but he absolutely hates to be left out of a fight

Nickname: None

Charm point: He has a strong protective instinct

Quote: “I want you to stay near to my heart. I love you!”

Cuddle, kiss, or push down: Fight together (or maybe with each other)

Would have eloped with:

  • Byakko, because of how he tease Suzaku and flirts with the MC

Favorite moments:

  • The MC freaking out about seeing Suzaku half naked and then again when waking up in bed with him the next day
  • The guys, especially Byakko, teasing Suzaku
  • The guys dressed as orian
  • The dialogue between the MC and Suzaku is usually pretty snappy

Worst moments:

  • Suzaku seems to soften towards the MC after the mission to Yomi but then goes right back to normal only to soften towards the MC again later
  • The MC is a little too harsh for my tastes. I don’t mind a feisty MC, but when she says that she’s going to make the others her slaves, that a little to far I think

Worth the price of admission?: I like this route, it’s a good route as far as this game goes. Suzaku and the MC actually have some chemistry (they spend a good amount of time sassing each other) and their relationship actually develops over time and there are some scenes actually showing the development. This was one of the romance high points of the game, but I would still say it is only worth a free read rather than paying for the route
